- Assistant Admin Manager - ENT
- Full Time (40 hpw)
- £31,000 per annum
- Temporary Contract for 12 month (Maternity Cover)
We are looking for an Assistant Service Manager with proven experience of leading and running a service, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure to meet the challenges of working to deadlines.
The Assistant Service Manager will be working closely with the Service Manager, Health Care Assistant’s (HCA), and Clinicians, and will be responsible for service performance, creating a safe, efficient and productive service, in line with company policies and protocols.
The Assistant Service Manager will ensure that all referrals are managed in a timely and professional manner, from the acceptance/ receipt of referral to the discharge to GP process, and that all standards of service are maintained.
The Assistant Service manager will support operational delivery of the services within the ENT portfolio, providing information when necessary to service managers to ensure effective reporting of service position against annual plan. Ensure effective performance management and personal development of all non-clinical staff and clinical staff in conjunction with the Clinical Leads.
- Ensure all company policies are adhere to by all employees.
- Deliver team meetings, coaching and 1:1’s for all the team; setting clear, realistic goals, objectives and performance standards.
- To have responsibility for managing team rotas
- To line manage the HCA team to ensure that they clearly understand what is expected of them and their respective teams.
- To cover Health Care Assistant sickness and annual leave.
- Ensuring objectives are clear and plan to develop staff.

- To attend, with the Service Manager, meetings with the Client organisation including providing feedback on performance and responding to instruction from the Client as necessary

Role Requirements
- Excellent management and IT skills
- Experience of training and supervision
- Experience of working in the NHS as a manager is desirable
- Ability to manage a team remotely
- Self motivated, highly organised, ability to remain focussed under pressure
- Able to influence, inspire, and effectively work with those around him/her.
- Ability to quickly and effectively establish the respect of colleagues and other health professionals.
