This role is a permanent position offering 37.5 hours per week, however, requests to work condensed hours, part-time or job-share will be considered, taking into account business needs and this will be reviewed annually.

To provide clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) Dental Centres to enhance force generation and operational capability and minimise dental morbidity on operations.

About us

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring their surgery is prepared appropriately for the days patients.
  • Provide dental hygiene treatment in line with their approved scope of practice as per General Dental Council guidelines and in accordance with agreed patient group directive (PGD).
  • Working collaboratively with professional colleagues and in the best interests of patients.
  • Carrying out dental work under the direction of a registered dentist who has examined the patient and indicated in writing the course of treatment to be provided.
  • Managing the patient appointment system as required.
  • Accurately recording treatment on each patients electronic health records.
