Band 3 Health Care Support Worker role with Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust based at Poppy Unit, a 20‑bed acute ward in Devizes (SN10). This permanent, Agenda for Change Band 3 post (salary £24,937–£26,598 pro rata) offers full‑time and part‑time hours and a varied, hands‑on role supporting people in mental health crisis. You will carry out observations, support personal care, nutrition and physical wellbeing, escort service users on planned leave, and deliver psychosocial one‑to‑one and group activities to promote choice and independence. The post involves close working with a multi‑disciplinary team of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, activities and exercise specialists and doctors, and includes statutory training (MaST) and familiarisation with the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act. A Disclosure and Barring Service check is required; experience in mental health is essential and a Level 3 vocational qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
