A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled, innovative, and motivated senior pharmacist to join our Clinical Pharmacy team.

The department provides a dynamic, supportive, and professionally rewarding environment for staff to develop their clinical and professional expertise.

• The post holder will be an experienced specialist pharmacist who is responsible for assisting the Pharmacy Team Leader for Surgery, in delivering, developing, evaluating and the day-to-day management of clinical pharmacy services to the Surgical Division including Pre-Operative Assessment Clinics.
• They will provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters, undertaking risk management and ensuring compliance with medicines legislation.
• They will facilitate and support medicines optimisation 'putting the patient at the centre of their care' and delivering optimal quality, value and outcomes from medicines use.
• The post holder will participate in clinical audit and practice research in their area of speciality.
• The post holder (where qualified) may also work under this job description as a fully independent pharmacist prescriber in an agreed area of competency to meet the local needs of patients and the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
• The post holder is expected to act as a role model in line with corporate & departmental objectives, NHS plan and the ICB system priorities.
