Job description
Provide calm, patient and professional secretarial support in the busy Ear, Nose and Throat department at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham (Band 3). In this role you’ll work closely with the Band 4 Senior Medical Secretarial Team to process clinical letters, book and check clinic appointments and follow‑ups, add patients to waiting lists and manage correspondence for 2‑Week Wait, daily emergency ENT, nurse‑led and endoscopy clinics. The post suits someone who is well organised, able to prioritise, confident on the telephone, good at resolving queries to completion and comfortable using a range of IT systems including Word, Excel and Outlook. Previous clerical or customer‑facing experience is important and healthcare experience is desirable; the role is subject to a DBS check.
