Based at Reservoir Court’s Sage Inpatient Unit in Birmingham (B23), this Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant role supports older adults on an assessment ward who have dementia or functional mental health conditions. You will deliver practical, creative and leisure-based activity programmes both one-to-one and in groups to promote independence, reduce distress and improve emotional wellbeing. The post is permanent, full-time and paid under Agenda for Change Band 3 (£24,937–£26,598 pro rata), with a seven‑day working pattern that includes alternate weekends (one Saturday or one Sunday). An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), experience in activity-based or occupational therapy work, and a DBS check are required.

You will work alongside the ward Occupational Therapist, receiving regular management and clinical supervision plus ongoing training and development linked to appraisal.
