Work as a Band 4 Senior Therapy Support Worker at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, based at Solihull Hospital (B91). This role builds on Band 3 experience to deliver combined physiotherapy and occupational therapy support across Trauma & Orthopaedics and Healthcare of Older People wards. You will manage an agreed caseload under the supervision of registered therapists, assess and progress patients pre- and post-operatively, supervise rehabilitation exercises, order and fit equipment on wards and in patients’ homes, support discharge planning and occasionally supervise other therapy support staff. Strong clinical reasoning, manual handling, good IT and communication skills, and prior Band 3 therapy support experience are essential; the post involves seven-day working and may require occasional work across Trust sites.
This permanent, full-time (flexible) position offers an NHS Band 4 salary of £27,485–£30,162 and real opportunities for professional development within a teaching Trust that values inclusion and career growth.
