Make a real difference caring for people at North Bristol NHS Trust as a Bank Healthcare Support Worker based at the award‑winning Brunel building, Southmead (with occasional shifts at Weston). This hands‑on role supports registered nurses to deliver personal care — assisting with washing, dressing, toileting, feeding, mobilisation and comfort — while maintaining tidy, dignified ward environments and accurate patient records. You’ll be part of a collaborative bank with University Hospitals Bristol & Weston, able to book flexible shifts (early, late, long days and nights) that fit family life or study, and benefit from full induction and training, completion of the Care Certificate, access to the NHS Pension scheme and competitive pay of £13.85–£25.35 per hour (inclusive of annual leave).

This opportunity is ideal for experienced Healthcare Support Workers with at least six months’ acute experience in the last 12 months, or Student Nurses who have completed their first placement (please record this on your application). You’ll need GCSEs in English and Maths (grade 4/C or equivalent), to complete a five‑day induction over one week and remain up to date with essential training, and be able to work at least two shifts in a rolling four‑month period.
