Job description
We currently have opportunities to join the Nursing Bank within HPFT as a RN, in particular we are looking for BANK staff to work as and when required often at short notice at Band 5 level in COLCHESTER, North Essex. If you have previous experience of working with Service Users within a Learning Disabilities background, we would like to hear from you. Please apply if you live within easy commuting distance to Colchester.
All roles with the Bank are ad hoc (as and when) and therefore in particular may suit those already working part-time, with other commitments, or who want to work on a short-term basis. We can support Bank staff migration into a permanent role where there are vacancies.HPFT provides support for service users with mental health, learning disability and children's and adolescent mental health problems. Applicants should have some experience of working in a healthcare setting particularly within learning disability services.

The Postholder will:
- Maintain responsibility for a caseload of people with learning disabilities and health needs, providing a holistic approach to service user assessment, treatment, review and management of packages of
- Ensure that the statutory requirements of the Mental Capacity Act are observed and
- Have the clinical skills relative to the delivery of care in the service
- Have effective working relationships with other professionals within the service area, across the Strategic Business Unit, Trust and other NHS providers and key
- Contribute towards effective management and utilisation of resources within the service area.
- Provide clinical advice for service users who present with challenging and mental health needs that promote and facilitates the positive health and wellbeing of people with learning Including direct work with service users, carers, colleagues and other service providers.
