Main duties of the job
As one of our Healthcare Assistants on our Outpatients department, you will be ensuring that our patients receive a high standard of care by carrying out routine patient monitoring and care duties that will be relevant to each individual patient.You will be expected to have gained up to date knowledge of your patient, by investigating the patent pathway. Youll need to competently and accurately update patient records, ensuring the patient pathway is being followed and documented.You will make sure your patients are prepared and ready for any treatments or surgery booked and ensure all necessary checks are conducted prior to a treatment or surgery taking place.It will be a requirement for the appointed Healthcare Assistants to preform phlebotomy when required, performing ECGs, run own clinic on occasions and that they will receive a full induction, training and support.As the Healthcare Assistant, you will be conscious of health, safety and hygiene aspects in a department. Not only will you look to make sure the department is clean, you will monitor and look for potential hazards, ensuring they are made safe or the issue is quickly bright to the attention or the Department Manager.Please download a copy of the attached
