Main duties of the job
Blood Collection:Skillfully draw blood from patients using various techniques to ensure accurate and sufficient samples.Patient Interaction:Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures, alleviating concerns, and maintaining a calm and reassuring environment.Specimen Labeling and Handling:Accurately label blood samples, organize them for transportation, and ensure proper handling to maintain specimen integrity.Documentation:Record and maintain detailed records of patient information, blood collection procedures, and other relevant data in compliance with healthcare regulations.Safety Protocols:Follow strict safety and infection control protocols to minimize the risk of contamination and ensure a secure environment for both the phlebotomist and the patient.Basic IT Skills:Navigate and use Windows operating systems efficiently, attach and senddocuments via email.
