Bank Porter Band 2 at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Uxbridge (UB8) offers a practical, hands-on role keeping the hospital safe, organised and moving. You will carry out general portering and security duties including CCTV monitoring, cover the post room when required, escort staff, cash and patients’ property, and transport patients, goods and equipment around site (including occasional vehicle use). The role includes mortuary duties such as booking deceased patients in, arranging viewings and signing official paperwork, managing car-parking operations and machines, and keeping accurate departmental records (worksheets, rotas, vehicle logs and incident reports). You will work to Health & Safety and departmental SSOWs, liaise with emergency services during incidents, and communicate professionally with staff, patients and visitors at all times. A DBS check is required for this post.
