Job description
A Bank Registered Midwife (Band 6) vacancy with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is based at St Mary’s Hospital, Praed Street, London W2 1NY, serving both St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte & Chelsea Hospital’s busy maternity services. You’ll support almost 9,000 births a year across units with high-dependency and neonatal care, delivering patient-centred assessments and hands-on care during antenatal appointments, labour and the postnatal period, always guided by the NMC Code and Trust values of being expert, kind, collaborative and aspirational. This bank role offers flexible working across specialities, competitive pay (£27.17–£45.92 per hour) and the chance to work with private patients and complex, high‑risk caseloads while maintaining professional standards and dignity for every family.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced, NMC‑registered midwives with at least one year in a Band 6 NHS post who want control over their shifts without sacrificing clinical excellence or development. The Staff Bank team promotes reliability, respect and a supportive environment — particularly suited to women carers seeking flexible, meaningful clinical work that fits around life commitments. Staff Bank also welcomes applicants for related nursing roles; find this vacancy on jobsincare.com and to apply simply click the "Apply Now" button.
