This bank Senior Healthcare Support Worker role at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust offers hands-on, patient-facing work with full flexibility and competitive hourly pay of £14.71–£24.86 (inclusive of annual leave). You will be employed on a zero‑hours contract and able to book shifts across UHBW and North Bristol Trust as part of a collaborative bank, with the expectation to work a minimum of two shifts in a rolling four‑month period and complete a five‑day induction. To apply you must have recent acute hospital experience (within the last 12 months) or be a second‑year Student Nurse who has completed an acute placement, hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), and GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Occasional working between Bristol and Weston sites may be required. Closing date: 05 December 2025.

You will support registered practitioners to deliver compassionate, high‑quality care—undertaking observations and clinical tasks (blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, glucose monitoring), sample collection and wound swabs, promoting patient independence, and maintaining accurate records in line with infection‑control and safety policies.
