The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic bank sonographers to join its innovative Ultrasound department in Great Yarmouth. Candidates must hold a postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound and be registered with the HCPC or relevant professional body, along with recent NHS experience. The role involves conducting various ultrasound examinations including general medical, gynaecological, musculoskeletal, and obstetric scans on weekdays, with opportunities for evening and weekend sessions due to the newly opened Community Diagnostic Centre.

Main responsibilities include performing and reporting ultrasound examinations according to department protocols, ensuring high standards of patient care, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. Sonographers are also expected to maintain patient confidentiality, supervise the training of student sonographers, and adhere to all Trust policies, contributing to continuous professional development and quality assurance within the department. This position emphasises a patient-focused approach and effective communication with both patients and team members.
