Job description
Based in Bristol (BS6 6UT) and advertised by NHS Jobs, this Bank Theatre Assistant role is ideal for experienced Healthcare Assistants or Support Workers — preferably NVQ level 2/3 — who are comfortable in a hospital setting. Previous theatre experience is desirable but not essential: training can be provided for candidates who demonstrate the right skills and attitude. You will work on a bank basis covering busy periods, sickness and annual leave, so outstanding communication, attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely are essential. The post is offered as a contract role with full‑time hours available and a negotiable salary; note the vacancy may close early once enough applications are received (closing date 08 November 2025, job ref E0058-22847A).
This position is particularly attractive to women returning to work or carers needing flexibility — weekly pay for bank colleagues, competitive rates and unsocial hours enhancements (where applicable) make it straightforward to balance life and work. Benefits include Spire Healthcare pension access, Blue Light Card and additional Spire for You discounts, wellbeing centre access, free uniform, free DBS, a full induction with mandatory training updates and clear routes to further training and permanent roles. You’ll be supported throughout recruitment by Spire’s specialist Resourcing Team and will work in an organisation that emphasises clinical excellence, compassionate care and teamwork.
