This provision caters to students aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours, who are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education. The PRU's goal is to help students regulate their behaviour and reintegrate into mainstream schooling. You'll be responsible for: * Providing tailored one-to-one and small group support to students * Assisting in the creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) * Supporting classroom management and promoting positive behaviour strategies * Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other professionals * Monitoring and reporting on student progress * Supporting students' social and emotional development * Preparing learning materials and classroom resources * Assisting during school activities, trips, and events What You'll Need to Succeed: * Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours * A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude * Ability to work effectively as part of a team * Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people Desirable: * Additional training or qualifications in SEMH, behaviour management, or special education * Experience working in a PRU or similar setting * Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices What You'll Get in Return: * Competitive daily pay rates from £80 to £120 * Certified Team Teaching instructors onsite * Comprehensive training and development programme * Life assurance and wellbeing support * A supportive team environment * Access to a wide range of UK discounts and benefits * A dedicated Hays Education Consultant to support your career What You Need to Do Now: If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to submit your up-to-date CV, or give us a call.
