Lead and shape education across Virology and Immunology at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, based at Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle (CA2 7HY). This part‑time, fixed‑term Band 7 role is for an HCPC‑registered Biomedical Scientist with an MSc and strong immunology/virology experience who wants to focus on training and people management. You will coordinate and monitor rotating staff, manage training logs, competence assessments, IBMS portfolios and eQMS documentation, contribute to appraisal processes and deputise for the operational manager. The department handles around 140,000 virology/immunology tests a year using a wide range of serology and molecular platforms, giving technical variety and clinical impact.
