Job description
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern is Monday to Friday 09:00 - 05:00
The post forms part of the business support team and provides comprehensive, administrative, and secretarial service to the Addiction Services multidisciplinary team. The post-holder will be an efficient administrator who contributes significantly to achievement of the role of the service through provision of a variety of administrative and secretarial roles. The post holder will be required to provide an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative service to all members of the team. It is essential that the post holder is a proficient typist with excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of disciplines. The post holder will be required to deal with referrals and enquiries daily, provide reception cover, undertake call handling and also support the generic functions and duties administered within the wider Addiction Services Business Support section as required.
