Job description
An exciting nine‑month secondment for a Business Support Officer with NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly ICB, based at the Bodmin head office. This full‑time, Agenda for Change Band 5 role (£31,049–£37,796 pro rata) is open only to colleagues already working for Cornwall Foundation Trust, Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust or Cornwall and Isles of Scilly ICB. The post is office‑based with hybrid working and an expectation to be on site most weeks (minimum two to three days), and includes access to NHS benefits such as pension, life assurance, discounts and flexible working options. Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (or significant senior admin experience), GCSEs including English and Maths, and proven experience supporting senior managers or directors.
You will be the steady hand for executive offices: coordinating diaries across health and social care partners, preparing agendas and minutes, organising meetings and multi‑organisation events, authorising limited expenditure and maintaining confidential information systems. The role suits calm, organised people who can prioritise competing tasks, work on their own initiative and build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders. Previous PA or senior business support experience, excellent MS Office skills and discretion are essential; a DBS check will be required. If you’re a carer or a woman seeking a role that values organisation, continuity and collaboration, this is a practical opportunity to influence how services run day‑to‑day.
