As a CAMHS Senior Practitioner in Crisis & Home Treatment with Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, based across Kidderminster (DY10 1PG), Worcester (WR5 1DD) and Redditch (B98 8AH), you will provide rapid, high‑impact support for children and young people in acute mental health distress. This Band 6 permanent role (full‑time or part‑time considered) operates a seven‑day service (8am–8pm shifts) delivering crisis assessments, acute risk and safety planning, and short‑term, goal‑focused home and community interventions. Working autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team, you will liaise with families, schools, social care and acute services, keep timely clinical records, and contribute to service development. Applicants should be a registered clinician (RMN, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist) with post‑registration mental health experience and strong assessment and risk‑management skills.
The Trust offers structured supervision, ongoing CPD, clear routes for progression and involvement in service development, plus staff wellbeing initiatives and flexible working to support work–life balance — benefits that appeal particularly to women and carers. Pay is Band 6 (£38,682–£46,580 pro rata) with NHS pension, 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising with service), enhanced unsocial hours pay and strong maternity/paternity support.
