Job description
Bring your caregiving skills to a multiskilled Care Facilitator role at Burlington Primary Care in Ipswich (IP1). This full-time, permanent post pays £23,873.60 a year and puts you at the heart of a busy inner-town GP practice serving a diverse community. You will be the vital link between patients and clinicians: handling prescriptions and registration queries, managing telephone, letter and SMS communications, scanning, coding and matching clinical correspondence on SystmOne, supporting referrals and onward care, and providing secretarial cover as required. The role suits candidates with experience working with the public or in healthcare (Healthcare Assistants or administrators welcome), GCSEs in English and Maths, strong IT and communication skills, and a willingness to work with a multicultural population; a DBS check is required and prior Primary Care or SystmOne experience is desirable.
This practice offers tangible employee benefits that value carers: an NHS Pension with a 14.38% employer contribution plus additional centrally funded contributions, six weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays, supported training, monthly wellbeing and team-building events, a staff wellbeing room and an outdoor garden with a vegetable patch, and a personalised fleece jacket. You’ll join a supportive, innovative practice that prioritises work–life balance, practical development and community health initiatives — an excellent fit for women carers who want a stable, caring role where empathy, organisation and teamwork are rewarded.
