Job description
Care Navigator at The Garden Surgery (Leeds, LS9) — a varied, patient-facing administrative role in a busy primary care centre. You will be the first point of contact for patients in person and on the telephone, managing registrations, appointments, repeat prescriptions, results and NHS emails, as well as creating home visit requests and calling patients in for checks. The role demands excellent listening and communication skills, patience when supporting distressed or frustrated people, good IT literacy, resilience and an eye for detail. This fixed-term, part-time post (12 months) reports to the Practice Manager, requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check and ideally GCSEs in English and Maths; GP practice experience is desirable. The starting window is around late August to mid-September 2025 and the post is based at the Enhanced Primary Care Centre, Osmondthorpe Lane, Leeds.
The Garden Surgery is a supportive, inclusive workplace with a strong team ethos, practical mentoring and on-the-job training that build multiskilled progression — ideal for women returning to work or experienced carers seeking meaningful part-time hours that respect caring responsibilities.
