Location: 2 Alice Square, Birkenhead, Merseyside, CH41 2YA Start Date: 17 November 2025 Hours: 36 per week Rate: PAYE £14.82/hr | Ltd/Umbrella £18.86/hr About the Role Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a proactive and compassionate Care Navigator to join the Adult Care and Health team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for supporting individuals through their care journey, even without formal social care qualifications. As a Care Navigator, you’ll help residents access the right services at the right time, acting as a key point of contact and support within the community. Key Responsibilities Provide guidance and support to individuals navigating adult social care services Liaise with service users, families, and professionals to coordinate care pathways Signpost to appropriate services and resources based on individual needs Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement Work collaboratively with colleagues across health and social care ✅ What You’ll Need Experience in a customer-facing or support role (social care experience desirable but not essential) Excellent communication and organisational skills Empathy, patience, and a solution-focused approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to promoting dignity, choice, and wellbeing
