Job description
Vine Medical Group is recruiting a part‑time Care Navigator (Medical Receptionist) in Waterlooville (PO7). As the first point of contact for patients, you will handle face‑to‑face enquiries and telephone calls, support access to appointments, submit digital triage forms and signpost people to the right services. The role involves hosting reception desks, processing payments for private services when required, maintaining accurate records on practice IT systems and helping clinics run smoothly. Hours are 25 per week (Mon–Wed 13:00–18:30 and Fri 08:00–18:30) with occasional Saturday cover (around 1–2 per year). You will work on a four‑week published rota across three Waterlooville sites, on a permanent contract, paying £12.30–£12.50 per hour.
This post will suit compassionate, organised people — especially women and carers used to calm, clear communication and working with diverse communities — who enjoy hands‑on patient contact and steady, predictable hours that fit family life. Essential requirements include customer‑facing experience, good IT skills, GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) and the ability to remain composed under pressure; experience in primary care and familiarity with EMIS is desirable. Vine Medical Group looks after some 26,500 patients, is rated Good by the CQC and offers broad learning and development opportunities within a multi‑skilled team.
