Carer Peer Support Worker – Nottingham (NG6) — Permanent, full‑time, £24,937–£26,598pa. This role is designed for people who have supported a friend or family member through mental distress and want to turn that lived experience into a purposeful, paid role. You will use your own caring experience to offer empathy, practical help and hopeful, non‑judgemental support that helps others feel more in control of their recovery. Day‑to‑day you’ll work alongside people in a relationship of mutuality and shared experience, promoting choice, self‑determination, valued social roles and stronger links with local community life — ideal for women carers looking for meaningful work that respects your people skills and emotional intelligence.

Please note important practical points before applying: the post is banded in line with Agenda for Change (successful applicants with no prior NHS experience are usually placed at the bottom of the band) and the Trust is unable to sponsor Skilled Worker/Health & Care visas as the salary and skill level do not meet sponsorship criteria. You will be asked to pay for a DBS check (deducted from salary over the first two months; standard £26.40 or enhanced £54.40) and you are encouraged to join the DBS Update Service (annual fee £16).
