Support Jane in Plymouth as a Casual Support Worker offering part‑time, on‑site care with a warm, upbeat approach. Jane loves banter, shopping, bingo, music, dancing, arts and crafts and family time, and she’s looking for a female support worker (genuine occupational requirement under the Sex Discrimination Act 1975) who can help her achieve greater independence, manage her budget, build friendships and explore travel and relationship goals. The role includes supporting Jane with epilepsy, encouraging participation in everyday activities, helping her develop skills to babysit her nieces and nephew, and seizing community opportunities as they arise. Pay is £12.60 per hour with sleepovers paid at £70 (these may become waking or disturbed nights); this is a casual contract with shift work including evenings, weekends and some bank holidays. The position is with Beyond Limits in Plymouth (Job ref: JF/LR) and is on‑site only — closing date 18 November 2025.

This role suits caring, resilient women who are calm, patient and confident, with strong organisational, communication and IT skills. You’ll thrive if you love music, enjoy arts and crafts, like cats and can bring enthusiasm to encourage Jane’s development. Beyond Limits offers competitive pay, an award‑winning pension, company sick pay, excellent annual leave with top‑up pay, critical illness cover, life insurance, a thorough induction and ongoing training with career development opportunities. A DBS check will be requested for appointed candidates (cost refunded after successful completion of a six‑month probation) and sponsorship is currently not available.
