Catering Assistant role with East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust based at Westmorland General Hospital, Kendal (LA9). This part‑time, permanent post (Agenda for Change Band 2, £24,465 pro rata) covers weekday shifts in the on‑site restaurant, Monday–Friday 11:00–15:00. Day‑to‑day duties include food preparation, cleaning, supporting patient feeding at ward level and delivering excellent customer service; you will also complete routine food safety audit forms. Practical experience in a busy food environment is useful and the post-holder should either hold or be willing to work towards a Food Foundation Hygiene qualification and NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality/Customer Care. Full induction and training are provided and the role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
