Teach a small, motivated group at Lea Hall Academy in Birmingham (B33 9QY) – a full‑time, permanent Class Teacher post (start 28 April 2025) on MPS/UPS plus a £1,000 SEN allowance. Lea Hall is a special school for pupils aged 5–14 with EHCPs for social, emotional and mental health (SEMH). You’ll plan and deliver either semi‑formal or formal curriculum pathways for up to 12 pupils, supported by teaching assistants, working across KS2 or KS3. The role suits teachers from primary or secondary backgrounds with proven experience of SEMH, strong behaviour‑aware practice and the ability to personalise learning so pupils are challenged, cared for and able to succeed. Regular access to Speech & Language and Occupational Therapists, plus a Family Support Worker and Pastoral Team, means you’ll work as part of a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary approach to meet pupils’ needs.

Forward Education Trust offers substantial professional and wellbeing support designed for people who bring both teaching skill and a caring heart. Expect structured induction, targeted CPD (including national qualifications), a supportive leadership team and clear routes to develop specialist expertise in SEMH, ASD and sensory needs. Benefits include teacher pension contributions, a paid health cash plan and access to the NHS‑approved Thrive app, enhanced Employee Assistance Programme, occupational health, staff recognition and a growing programme of family‑friendly policies to support work–life balance.
