Job description
Flexible hours, full-time role with part-time applications welcomed.
City-centre Newcastle location (NE1 8DQ) with a nearby branch at Newbiggin Hall.
Work within a large, supportive practice team including GPs, pharmacists and wellbeing staff.
Role matches caring strengths—empathetic, organised admin that directly aids patient care.
Hands-on digital experience with SNOMED, EMIS/SystmOne and Microsoft Office—highly transferable.
Permanent position with DBS check and pay depending on experience for career security.
As Clinical Coding & Workflow Administrator at Saville Medical Group in Newcastle upon Tyne (NE1 8DQ) you will accurately enter SNOMED-coded information into patients’ electronic health records (EMIS/SystmOne), scan and attach documentation, summarise notes and letters, and create workflow tasks for colleagues. This permanent role is offered full time with part-time applications considered; salary is dependent on experience and the post is subject to a DBS check. You’ll identify clinical actions from correspondence and route them to the right team, support GPs and medicines management colleagues, and provide day-to-day administrative assistance while prioritising workload in a fast-moving, digitally progressive practice.
This post suits organised, empathetic administrators and carers who enjoy meaningful, behind-the-scenes clinical work — especially those comfortable with Office and Outlook and with an understanding of clinical coding. Saville is a large, friendly practice at the city centre with a branch at Newbiggin Hall and a broad multidisciplinary team including pharmacists and a wellbeing service, so you’ll be part of a supportive network and gain experience with modern primary care systems.
