Step into a hands-on Clinical Health Care Assistant role with ELM Alliance LTD, supporting Extended Access primary care across Middlesbrough, Redcar, Guisborough and Brotton. You’ll deliver routine clinical care under the supervision of Treatment Room Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and GPs — performing phlebotomy and venepuncture (including paediatric bloods), recording ECGs, blood‑pressure monitoring, urinalysis, wound care and suture/stitch removal, and running BP and ECG clinics. This part‑time, permanent post requires NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and prior GP practice/primary care experience, plus familiarity with QOF/IIF and electronic patient records. Shifts cover evenings, weekends and bank holidays; pay is £13.07–£13.33 per hour and the role includes stock control, specimen handling, emergency trolley and defibrillator checks, safeguarding responsibilities and a DBS check.

This opportunity suits caring, organised practitioners who want clinically varied work in a supportive, team-based environment — particularly those who value flexible hours and serving communities with high health need. ELM’s Extended Hours Service is an integrated primary care initiative across South Tees, so you’ll be part of a service that improves access outside core hours while developing practical skills alongside nurses and GPs.
