Job description
As a Clinical Support Worker with Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust in Ipswich (IP1), you will work 30 hours per week in the MSNAP‑accredited Memory Assessment Service (Band 3, £24,937–£26,598 pro rata). This nurse‑led, multidisciplinary service includes nurses, occupational therapists, psychiatrists and clinical psychologists; your role blends practical and emotional support for people and their families, clinical observations (blood pressure, pulse and general checks after medication), functional assessments and joint visits with clinicians. You will maintain clinical notes and correspondence on the EPR, support patients to attend CT head scans, deliver post‑diagnostic visits, help facilitate carers’ forums and Living Well with Dementia groups, and liaise closely with other health professionals and third‑sector services. Travel across Suffolk is required.
This permanent, part‑time post is ideal for experienced carers and women seeking a compassionate, learning-focused workplace with room to develop: the team values supervision, training and collaborative working and is actively involved in an exciting rebrand and older‑persons service transformation. You must hold or be ready to complete the Care Certificate within 12 weeks and have NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) plus previous care‑sector experience; a DBS check is required. The Trust offers ongoing development, a friendly MDT culture and the quality‑of‑life benefits of Suffolk’s coast and Broads.
