Lead the management, maintenance and development of all IT and clinical information systems across the Elmham Group of Surgeries, ensuring technology is secure, resilient and directly supports safe patient care. This hands-on role is the primary point of contact for the practice’s clinical software (eg SystmOne), telephone and integrated systems, and covers day-to-day technical support, system upgrades, configuration, backups and business continuity. You will drive data quality and clinical coding (SNOMED), produce reports for audits and QOF, manage IT assets and procurement, maintain vendor relationships and ensure full compliance with GDPR and NHS information governance. Training staff, administering smartcards and user access (including care homes), and managing social media/website content to support patient communications are core activities alongside your technical duties.

Based at Elmham Group of Surgeries (two sites near North Elmham and Swanton Morley, Dereham NR20) this permanent post offers full-time or part-time hours with flexibility to suit carers and those seeking family-friendly working patterns. It will suit someone with solid IT infrastructure and data security experience, excellent communication and training skills, strong attention to detail and the confidence to translate technical solutions for non-technical colleagues. An enhanced DBS check is required and GCSEs in English and Maths are essential; driving licence and car ownership are desirable.
