Job description
Tiptree Medical Centre, part of The Colte Partnership are looking to welcome a GP to our friendly, busy practice on a part-time basis for 4-6 sessions per week on a 1 year contract. With competitive pay, the successful applicant will work with an experienced multidisciplinary team.
The team comprises of two friendly, supportive partners & 7 salaried GPs. We have an excellent nursing team comprising 4 advanced nurse practitioners (ANPs), 4 practice nurses, 2 HCAs, 2 clinical pharmacists & a pharmacy technician. You will carry out all the duties reasonably expected of an NHS general practitioner using the standards expected by the GMC & RCGP.
We pride ourselves on being relaxed, family-friendly & able to offer flexible working patterns. We do not have any nursing home commitments and have a wonderful ANP who manages our patients palliative care needs and home visits. We have active interests in minor surgery, women's health, mental health & pride ourselves at delivering excellent CPD. We actively encourage the pursuit of areas of personal clinical interest for the benefit of our patients and mutual CPD opportunities. We are a training practice for medical and nursing students.

All applicants should have the following qualifications:
- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
- Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
- Be on the NHSE medical performers list
and skills, including:
- Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services;
- Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date;
- Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety;
- Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.
In accordance with the practice rota, as agreed, you will make yourself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery, telephone and electronic consultations and queries, visiting patients homes, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
You will be making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other care workers within the organisation.
