Band 3: £24,937 to £26,598 a year per annum pro rata
PERMANENT
Job description
A rare, part‑time permanent vacancy supporting the Dalton and Ulverston District Nursing team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust, based at Ulverston Health Centre (LA12). This Band 3 administrator role is 15 hours per week over two days (Thursdays and Fridays) as part of a job‑share, with a pro rata salary of £24,937–£26,598. The post provides a stable, flexible pattern ideal for people balancing caring responsibilities, and offers the security of an NHS post with access to training and senior nurse support within a friendly, professional community service.
The role is central to patient care: answering the telephone, providing non‑clinical administrative support, inputting patient data for audits and spreadsheets, preparing notes, minute taking, archiving, photocopying and scanning, ordering equipment, and signposting or directing patient and carer queries in line with Caldicott guidelines. You’ll work closely with clinicians to ensure effective use of clinical time, so strong IT skills (Microsoft Office/365), attention to detail, good written and spoken communication and the ability to prioritise are essential. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and three GCSEs including English (grade C or above) are required; a Disclosure and Barring Service check will be carried out. If you’re organised, compassionate and adaptable — a natural supporter of others — this is a rewarding way to stay in or return to the workforce.
