Job description
Put your relationship-building skills to work as Community Fundraiser for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People in Loughborough (LE11). In this hands-on role you will build and manage relationships across Derbyshire and North West Leicestershire—working with community groups, schools, local authorities, businesses and individual supporters to grow income, recruit volunteers and deliver memorable fundraising events. You’ll be based at the hospice full time for the first six months, moving to a hybrid pattern after that, with regular travel across the East Midlands; the role is full-time (37.5 hours, Monday–Friday 9:00–17:00) with occasional evenings and weekends to support activities. Key tasks include donor stewardship via CRM, coordinating third‑party fundraisers, ensuring compliance with the Fundraising Code of Practice, delivering presentations and supporting volunteer development.
This role suits someone with customer-facing fundraising, sales or marketing experience who is confident speaking to groups, organised, and happy to travel (a valid UK driving licence is required). Rainbows offers a supportive, people‑centred culture, free on‑site parking, hybrid working after six months, 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, contributory or salary sacrifice pension, life assurance, staff wellbeing support and accessible onsite facilities. The role requires a Standard DBS and pre‑employment screening. If you care about helping families and want a role that combines outreach, events and meaningful community work, click the Apply Now button to submit your application — you can also view the vacancy on jobsincare.com.
