Job description
Become a Community Health Care Assistant with Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust based in Amersham (HP7) supporting adults in their own homes. You will work alongside qualified community nurses delivering nursing interventions such as insulin administration, wound and leg‑ulcer care, medication management, end‑of‑life support and prevention of hospital admission. This role suits experienced carers and those with previous health or social care experience who hold NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care, GCSE/Level 2 English and maths (or willingness to work towards), a full UK driving licence and access to a car. The service operates 24/7 so you’ll be part of a rota that includes weekends and bank holidays; working patterns include full‑time, part‑time, job share and flexible options. This is a permanent Band 3 post (salary £24,937–£26,598 pro rata).
You’ll join a supportive, learning‑focused team that will provide induction, competency development and mentorship as you grow your community nursing skills. Buckinghamshire Healthcare offers NHS benefits including generous annual leave, pension, staff discounts and wellbeing support, with clear routes for professional development and multi‑disciplinary working that put compassionate, person‑centred care first.
