Job description
Based in Northwood (HA6) with Harrow Health CIC, this Community Healthcare Coordinator – Telephonist role is a full‑time, permanent position paying £23,800 a year. You will be the calm, professional voice at the heart of ENT, gynaecology and dermatology clinics, managing patient bookings, triage and the e‑Referral service, and using EMIS Web for accurate records. The post involves a high volume of telephone contact, back‑office administration, secretarial support for consultant‑led clinics, collecting activity and audit data for monthly reporting and invoicing, and liaising with patients, GPs, consultants and other partner organisations. You will work across locations including the GP Access Centre, head office, community clinics and the walk‑in centre, and be expected to pitch in across services to help meet KPIs and ensure clinics run smoothly.
This opportunity suits organised, compassionate people‑centred candidates — especially women and carers seeking meaningful work in the community health sector. Essential skills include an excellent telephone manner, strong written and verbal communication, GCSEs in English and Maths, confidence with Microsoft Word and Excel, attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Prior experience with NHS systems (EMIS, e‑Referral) and knowledge of information governance are desirable. If you want a practical, varied role where your care and organisation directly improve patient experience, find the full vacancy on jobsincare.com and click the “Apply Now” button to submit your application.
