Make a real difference across Basildon and wider Essex as a Community Support Worker with Essex County Council. This permanent, full‑time role (salary £25,395–£32,131) sits within the Early Help & Wellbeing service and focuses on prevention, early intervention, enablement and safeguarding for people with mental health needs and neurodivergent conditions. Based in Basildon (SS14) but supporting the countywide service as required, you will work in a compassionate, innovative team offering information, advice and practical support to people not currently receiving services or at risk of falling through gaps. Closing date: 17 November 2025.
You will work alongside Social Workers and Occupational Therapists delivering bespoke interventions, undertaking assessments and contributing to Care Act compliant support and reviews. The role may include managing a caseload, safeguarding vulnerable adults, building strong relationships with individuals, families and carers, and helping people access housing, benefits and other community services. Experience in social care (Level 3 or equivalent), direct work with adults with mental health, neurodivergence or learning disabilities, and evidence of CPD are desirable; First Aid or Sign Language skills are a plus.
