Lead clinical care for children and young people as a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, based at Temple House, Mill Hill Lane, Derby (DE23 6SA). This full‑time, permanent Consultant post sits within an Outstanding CAMHS service and offers a competitive salary (£109,725–£145,478 pa pro rata) plus a golden‑hello RRP of up to 30% (paid over two years). Roles are available across city and locality bases (including Long Eaton, Ripley, Rivermead and Swadlincote) and cover urgent care/crisis, eating disorders and community CAMHS. The Trust has strong staff retention, excellent staff survey results and an expanding multi‑professional workforce, making this a supportive place for experienced clinicians and those returning to practice.
You will be a clinical lead in the CAMHS Acute Care Team, providing psychiatric assessments, crisis and liaison care, Mental Health Act recommendations and on‑call duties, and supporting T4 discharge planning to strengthen community support. Candidates must hold MB BS (or equivalent) and current GMC registration; MRCPsych is desirable.
