We are very pleased to offer the appointment of a Consultant Physician with a special interest in Diabetes and Endocrinology at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The post is based at Barnet Hospital
and includes participationon the Barnet Hospital Acute Medical Rota.
This job offers an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to join a committed team of consultants in this well developed
service.
The appointee will join a multidisciplinary team to deliver Diabetes outpatient services, with a subspecialty interest in Antenatal Diabetes & Endocrinology. The post-holder will have one general Diabetes clinic at Barnet hospital, seeing mainly Type 1 Diabetes patients. There will be a weekly joint antenatal clinic at Barnet hospital. The post-holder will run a weekly Endocrinology clinic at both Edgware Hospital and Finchley Memorial Hospital. The appointee will participate equally in
the "Endocrinology On the Wards" inpatient service at Barnet Hospital and the General Internal Medicine on-call rota.
Applicants for the post should have a CCT and GMC Specialist Registration, or be within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview and join the Specialist Register no later than 6 months after commencing the role.
Interview dates to take place at the end of March 2025.

An opportunity has arisen within the Diabetes & Endocrinology service for a Consultant appointment. You will join our existing team of 6 Consultant Endocrinologists and other Consultant Physicians based at Barnet & Chase Farm Hospitals, within the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder is managerially accountable to the Clinical Lead for Diabetes and Endocrinology. Applicants must hold MRCP or have equivalent experience and training and must be fully registered with a license to practice with the General Medical Council. GMC Specialist registration in Diabetes and Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine is required or applicants must be within 6 months of CCT for these specialties.
