Job summary


Join our team as a Consultant Psychiatrist at the New Forest East Community Mental Health Team, where you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality mental health care in a dynamic and supportive environment. Main duties of the job


As a Consultant Psychiatrist with the New Forest East Community Mental Health Team, you will provide expert clinical leadership, manage complex cases, and support a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality community mental health care. Your role will involve assessments, treatment planning, risk management, and clinical supervision, ensuring patient-centred, evidence-based care.

We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate psychiatrist with full GMC registration and CCT in General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of completion). You should be Approved Clinician and Section 12(2) approved or willing to obtain these. Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills are essential, as you will work closely with colleagues across disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have experience in service development, teaching, and quality improvement. You should be able to handle complex decision-making, prioritise workloads, and contribute to clinical governance.
