Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust is recruiting a substantive Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery based at Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro (TR1 3LJ). This permanent 10 PA post (salary £109,725–£145,478 pa pro rata) offers a formal, negotiable job plan agreed with the Clinical Director to reflect the appointee’s strengths and interests. You will be fully involved in OMFS services across Cornwall, working closely with primary care dental services and the Peninsula Dental School, sharing day-to-day management of the specialty and contributing to Trust KPIs. Clinical caseload includes complex facial trauma, oral cancer, temporomandibular joint surgery and head & neck skin cancer (including metastatic disease); candidates must be on the GMC Specialist Register (or within six months of CCT) and have passed the Intercollegiate Fellowship exam. Experience in teaching, audit and research is expected; completion of surgical fellowships, educational supervisor training, ATLS or sentinel node biopsy experience are desirable. Standard NHS pre-employment checks and a DBS disclosure apply, and skilled-worker sponsorship may be considered. Closing date: 19 October 2025.
