Murray Hall Community Trust is seeking experienced Creative Therapists/Counsellors to deliver sessional integrative interventions across Sandwell and neighbouring boroughs. This self‑employed role (service‑level agreement provided) pays £30–£45 per hour depending on the intervention and runs on a flexible, locum basis for up to three years. You will lead one‑to‑one and group creative therapy and counselling sessions – from play and therapeutic play skills to CBT, family therapy and mindfulness – for children (5–18), young people and adults. The role requires assessment and progress reviews in line with NICE guidance, record keeping using outcome star and internal systems, written reports to referrers, regular clinical supervision and a blended approach of face‑to‑face and distance sessions. An enhanced DBS check, current UK professional registration, a minimum Level 4 counselling/therapy qualification with 100 hours’ clinical experience, and membership of a recognised professional body are essential; safeguarding knowledge, CAHMS awareness and commitment to CPD are also required.

This post will suit therapists who want meaningful, hands‑on work with families and young people while keeping flexible hours — particularly carers and women seeking sessional work that fits around other commitments. Murray Hall is a charity that values creativity, clinical reflection and supportive practice, offering training and development opportunities and a collaborative environment where your clinical voice matters. If you’re ready to use expressive, person‑centred approaches to build resilience and embed coping strategies with clients, find this vacancy on jobsincare.com and click the “Apply Now” button alongside this advert to submit your application. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and standard recruitment checks.
