Play a vital role in Wigan’s Community Adult Front Door team as a Customer Services Advisor, recruited by inploi and based at Wigan Life Centre (WN1 1NJ). This front-line role handles incoming calls, emails and webforms from residents — often vulnerable or sensitive — providing clear advice within relevant legislation, capturing information on IT systems and guiding people towards the right local support. You’ll work within a multi-disciplinary team focused on early intervention, independence and technology-led solutions, and may be asked to respond to emergency situations as part of an extended-hours service. The post is temporary until July 2026, 30 hours per week (12:00–18:00, Monday–Friday), Grade 5 pay £21,749–£23,951 pa (£13.90–£15.31 per hour) and offers blended working between home, office and community settings.

This opportunity is ideal for caring, organised people — particularly women juggling caring responsibilities — who bring calm communication, empathy and a solution-focused approach. You’ll be supported by a team committed to continuous service and local improvement (Wigan Council is an APSE award winner), with access to flexible working and staff rewards.
