Dental Officer - Berkshire Community Dental Service
Base –West Berkshire Community Hospital, Thatcham
Hours – 22.5 hours 3 days per week
Salary – Band 6
Berkshire Community Dental Service (CDS) is looking for a dental therapist to join their proactive, enthusiastic, and innovative workforce with a great team spirit.
The service has 7 clinics ranging from Newbury to Langley and over 40 members of staff treating patients with additional needs including children, people with learning and physical disabilities and the elderly. You will be based at West Berkshire Community Hospital but may also work at other clinics and in the domiciliary setting. It is therefore essential that you can drive, have a UK driving licence and a car for travel between clinics and hospitals.
Professional development and training are encouraged.
Annual leave is 27-33 days pro rata depending on experience.

- Adults with severe mental health problems.
- Adults with challenging behaviour, anxiety or dental phobia.
- Adults in secure units and prisons.
- You may treat patients under sedation and general anaesthetic.
- You will be responsible for some areas of clinical governance, training, management and supervision.
