Step into a senior clinical post as Deputy Lead Practitioner (Band 6) at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust, based at Warwick Hospital CV34 5BW. You’ll work in a busy, modern Endoscopy Unit with three procedure rooms (therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, plus ERCP in X‑ray), supporting the Lead Practitioner to deliver exemplary planned care, manage shifts and coordinate a skilled nursing team. The service runs Monday–Sunday 08:00–18:30 with additional weekend/evening sessions as needed and a 24‑hour on‑call response for gastrointestinal bleeds and emergencies. Key duties include clinical and managerial leadership, maintaining JAG and CQC standards, supervising and developing staff, contributing to audits and KPIs, and helping shape the future of a rapidly evolving, patient‑centred service.

This role will suit a compassionate first‑level registered nurse with a Diploma or Degree in Professional Nursing, AIM/ILS training, current NMC registration and a solid acute medicine background (minimum two years Band 5 experience). You’ll need strong communication, organisational and mentoring skills, flexibility for shift work (including occasional nights/weekends) and a commitment to continuous professional development.
