Job summary

As we continue to expand and develop as a leading Trauma Centre, we are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic environment and play a crucial role in delivering care to our complex patient caseload.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Emergency Nurse who can rise to the challenges of this fast-paced setting, providing both clinical and managerial leadership. If you have the skills and expertise to thrive in a trauma environment, we encourage you to apply and be part of our evolving team.

You will lead a designated clinical area; majors, minors and resus as well as taking on aspects of managerial responsibility.

Main duties of the job

You will need to demonstrate drive, commitment and a strong sense of leadership and deliver excellent patient centred care.

You will be able to demonstrate a proven clinical ability in A&E, with substantial experience at Band 5 or above; be able to manage all aspects of the ED on a daily basis, including a real understanding of flow and capacity; and the leadership ability to bring the team with them in achieving Trust goals.

If you are a knowledgeable and skilled practitioner currently working in the field of emergency care, with significant experience in the ED as a Band 5, this could be the role for you.

Ideally you will have the following qualifications; a first level degree, a mentorship qualification and TNCC or ATNC provider status. You will be expected to evidence your achievements, and plans to develop areas of your practice, through a professional portfolio that will be scrutinised as part of the selection process. If you have the drive and determination to succeed in a progressive successful organisation, whilst ensuring high quality, safe care, underpinned by best practice which is consistently delivered we would like you to apply.

Salford Royal has teamed up with housing association Salix Homes to provide a 26-apartment complex for doctors, nurses and other clinical staff new to the Trust. Please enquire upon appointment to review availability.
