Care for patients receiving haemodialysis at the Hornchurch Satellite Unit for Barts Health NHS Trust. In this hands-on role you will work as a Dialysis Support Worker (Healthcare Support Worker) within the nursing team, carrying out delegated clinical duties such as monitoring observations and vital signs, assisting with personal care and mobility, supporting nutrition and hydration, and undertaking limited procedures (blood pressure checks, ECG recording, MRSA screening and simple wound dressings). The post is suitable for experienced HCAs and people new to care: new starters receive structured support to complete Band 3 competencies and can progress into a Band 3 role within six months on successful completion, working under the supervision of a registered nurse and developing skills in a specialist renal service.
