Job summary
Working Part time: Variety of Shift Patterns AvailableWe have permanent positions for hardworking, motivated individuals to join the Domestic Services Team at The Countess of Chester Hospital. The vacancies are for the following shifts working:-Monday to Friday - 5am until 8am or 6am until 9amSaturday and Sunday - 5am until 8am or 6am until 9amThese posts are designed to assist with providing a full range of cleaning duties, 7 days a week in a hospital/healthcare environment.The domestic department maintains very high standards. After completing full training, the successful candidates will be expected to carry out the full range of domestic duties. These include cleaning bathrooms, toilets, ward areas, emptying bins, replenishing soap dispensers, hand towels and sanitisers.
Main duties of the job
The safe removal of domestic and clinical waste from waste bins in conjunction with specified procedures ensuring correct colour liners are replaced.Responsible for identifying areas to be cleaned, plan and organise a cleaning programme with the Domestic Supervisor ensuring Patient, Staff and Visitor safety is not compromised.The cleaning of the ward/health care environment as laid down in National Standards of Cleaning and the FrequenciesThe cleaning of all-sanitary areas and other ward equipment, e.g. baths, toilets, washbasins, showers and sluice sinks Regularly checking sanitary areas throughout the day.Cleaning kitchen areas, sinks, work tops, cupboards, drawers, cookers refrigerators and ice machines.
